Each Leg/Day of each event is scored separately.
Championship points awarded for each event are based on the number of entries starting the event in both historic classes and the number of stage miles. First place is awarded a point for each team in the classes plus one. Subsequent places are awarded that minus one. For example, if there are 7 entries in the classes, the one finishing first gets 8 points, second gets 7 points, etc. Those points are multiplied by the number of stage miles to determine the championship points.
Events are scored based on points awarded for each stage, following a scheme similar to above. If there are 7 entries in the classes, the one with the fastest time gets 8 points, second gets 7 points, etc. Cars starting the stage but not finishing get 1 point. Cars not starting the stage get no points. These points are added together to determine the championship points awarded for the event.
Ties in the championship are awarded the same position(s) and the next position(s) not awarded. If there is a three-way tie for second place, all will be awarded second place and third and fourth place will not be awarded.
